CES Certification Seminar for Providers December 5, 2009

Allevia Health, Inc. will be offering a workshop December 5, 2009 in Vancouver, WA to review the research, FDA status and clinical use of CES and MET, safe and increasingly popular non-pharmacological treatments of anxiety, depression, insomnia and pain. CES combines well with CBT, EMDR and biofeedback therapies and can be invaluable as a clinical tool of every mental health practitioner. Certificates of proficiency are available upon successful completion of a multiple-choice test. WSPA CE: 7 hours*.

Learning objectives:
1. To gain an understanding of selected theories of electromedicine and to use them as a foundation for clinical management of patients with mental health disorders and pain.

2. To gain understanding of CES and MET as non-invasive therapies for anxiety, depression, insomnia and pain, including the efficacy and safety of these modalities.

3. To be able to describe clinical findings for use of CES, administer CES, evaluate patient’s response to CES and to be able to manage patients on CES long-term (includes discussion of clinical cases and how to incorporate CES into clinical practice).
